Re: Bird's nest...

I don't know - but I'd guess a field sparrow or something like that. I found one of those nests probably less than 3 feet above the ground once - with the little family in it. :) Bird nests are amazing... with the exception of Mourning Dove nests. :) I think I could build one of those. :) Ever try m...

Re: Fall Dogwood...

The trees are still pretty in AR, I guess? Here some of them are, but we keep getting so much wind that most of the leaves are gone. And it wa...

Re: Why read the bible?

Psalm1:2,3 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. If we read the Word of ...

Re: Making Butter and Buttermilk

Sometimes you can even get by with just using regular milk - I know we have a recipe for buttermilk coffeecake that we haven't used buttermilk in for years. :)

Re: The Aim and Joy of belonging to Jesus

Sorry it took me a while to get back to this... Another thing we have to be thankful for is the ability to be able to talk to each other about the Lord! :) Millipede, I realize that there ARE people that looking forward to Heaven - I guess I kinda worded that wrong. It's not like I'm not glad we wil...

The Aim and Joy of belonging to Jesus

Here's the new topic that I thought of... Yesterday I was reading a very old topic on PYA about who was a Christian and who wasn't. One of the "Not exactly Christians" (I realize you are or you aren't, but they described themself as undecided) made it sound like the whole aim of Christians, and the ...

Re: Are you hungry?

Thank you Millipede! Thank you for sharing.... that really touched my heart, being the type of person to feel empty and depressed at times. Sometimes I'm really depressed, just wondering about the future and the uncertainty of it. I tend to bottle my feelings up inside and get restless. But you're r...
